During their time in HMS TIMBERTOWN  Commodore Henderson  saw that they

kept up their skills in this case a group practicing their  signals/semaphore skills

the rating in the centre is using a 3 draw telescope of the same type as the image 

above, the image is from a 1916 real photo post card taken in HMS TIMBERTOWN

the 3 views of a single sailor are from the "KING AND COUNTRY                          1915 Gallipoli range . As this type of telescope was used by the                              R.N.D whilst they were at Gallipoli

tThe 2 images  i call the 

now you see me now you dont images  , which are one with a lens hood open the other one closed





the purpose of a lens hood was to prevent light from falling across the lens and causing unwanted flairs
