As the main page link says ,
this page is about a Beaker,
3-75 "tall and under 2 inches wide at its base
and made from Bovine Horn and hand engraved
to all appearances if the description is to be believed its nothing special,
but the Description is brief,
below are images of what it signifies ,
and how it is possibly the best piece of so called,
trench art from a theatre of war from that period ,
known as the Gallipoli campaign,
The Gallipoli campaign was a military campaign in the First World War that took place on the Gallipoli peninsula (Gelibolu in modern Turkey), from 17 February 1915 to 9 January 1916.
which is well documented on other sites,
this page is more concerned with the beaker,
but also showing the theatre of war that gave rise,
to its making.
Helles
The British 29th Division landed at five beaches at
Cape Helles, code-named S V W X and Y. W and V Beaches,
the RND were part of those landings and on the beaker

On the left is Beaker in question,
the faded letters above the word "GALLIPOLI"
on closer ,
inspection read as
"REMEMBER"
