in france during Operations at Bapaume, 21st to the 31st August, 1918.
These operations may be considered as comprising three phases: first, the advance to the Ancre on the 21st and 22nd; second phase, the envelopment of Bapaume and the withdrawal of its garrison, from the 24th to the 28th.
